Postdrome’s music has always been abstract enough to change every time you hear it. It sends you into an unknown territory, a land of sculpted soundscapes and detailed textures where your imagination has space to grow. On Where The King Will Land, Charlie Floyd is day-dreaming in black and white, lost in a multitude of grey nuances and following an imaginary trail. Built as a whole, this second full-length is a work of contrasts where the english producer explores a softer approach (like on the slow-moving Back Bay or the meditative Centuries) but also retains the anxiety and massive distortion (Steam) from the first album. By enlarging his spectrum of emotions, Postdrome offers his strongest work and this album is the perfect conclusion for our Dark European Spring series, proving that drone music still has something to offer.

music by Charlie Floyd / recorded in London, UK from November 2012 to January 2013
